Our Programs
As a play-based school, your children spend their time interacting with materials and others in self-directed play. Our staff focuses on the development of the whole child. We plan our curriculum to meet the transitional levels and interests of the children. All areas of your child's development (social, emotional, physical and cognitive) will be challenged daily when interacting with other children and the materials provided. Our classrooms and programs have been adapted to meet all health standards, including reduced class sizes, smaller teacher to student ratio and regular sanitization/hand washing.

2-3s
This program offers a grouping of two-to-three year olds as a first school experience. Children have an opportunity to explore and create in a setting designed with two-to-three year olds in mind.
3-4s
This program focuses on the development of the whole child – social, emotional, physical and cognitive – by offering a play-based curriculum rich in creative age-appropriate activities. Through play, young children learn about themselves and their world.
Pre-K
The Pre-Kindergarten program includes a more structured environment than the earlier programs at TOPS. In the Pre-Kindergarten classroom children also learn through play and especially with “hands on” activities in small groups.
Outdoor Classroom
An integral part of all of our programs. Outdoors, children’s whole beings are engaged in the natural inquiry of their surrounding environment, developing a healthy respect for themselves, one another and nature.
3s/4s Lunch Bunch + Playgroup Programs
Lunch Bunch and Playgroup are add-on options to our programs listed above.
Summer Program
In the summer, TOPS offers a school session with an emphasis on outdoor play. The dates and time frames for this program are determined in the spring, and enrollment is offered to our continuing families as well as to the larger community.
